Tradespeople use voice-first AI construction software to check quotes and schedules on site.
Hamburg, Germany, August 15, 2025
A Hamburg-based construction SaaS company raised €38 million in a Series B round, taking total funding above €50 million. The capital will accelerate product and AI development, expand the firm’s European footprint, and fund hires in product and machine-learning roles. The startup focuses on a voice-first platform that lets tradespeople query systems on site and aims to build AI agents to automate quoting, customer communications, and operational tasks. More than 20,000 tradespeople already use the tools, and regional teams in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Italy will support continued growth.
plancraft, a Hamburg-based software company building AI- and voice-first tools for contractors and tradespeople, has closed a €38 million Series B round, bringing its total raised to more than €50 million. The round was led by investor Headline, with participation from existing backers Creandum, HTGF and xdeck. The funding was announced on 14 August 2025.
The company plans to use the new capital to expand operations across Europe, accelerate product development and hire additional product and AI specialists. plancraft is aiming to move quickly from current voice-enabled workflows toward full AI automation that can handle customer interactions, produce tailored quotes and optimise field operations so tradespeople can spend more time on-site and less time on paperwork.
plancraft develops a platform that allows construction workers to obtain answers and act through voice commands, reducing the need for hands-on device use while on the job. According to reporting on the funding, the platform is already in use by more than 20,000 tradespeople across Europe. The roadmap positions voice as the primary interface today with the goal of layered AI agents taking on routine administrative tasks over time.
The investment comes as the European construction sector faces workforce pressure driven by aging demographics, persistent skills gaps and the expanding demand for climate-driven retrofits. These forces are increasing demand for tools that boost productivity and reduce administrative burden on small and medium-sized construction businesses.
Since its Series A in June 2024, plancraft has more than doubled headcount from roughly 40 to over 100 employees. The company has already established teams in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Italy. To support its European growth plan, plancraft is recruiting additional product and AI specialists to scale engineering, data science and customer-facing functions.
The lead investor highlighted a combination of strong product adoption, user enthusiasm and a team with a clear, ambitious approach to transforming a traditional industry. Investors cited favourable market conditions and the potential for AI to materially change operations for construction businesses across Europe.
plancraft describes its long-term ambition as building AI agents capable of managing end-to-end interactions with customers, generating custom quotes and orchestrating operations to reduce administrative overload. The stated outcome is to free skilled tradespeople to concentrate on their craft while software handles routine back-office tasks.
The €38 million Series B marks a significant step in plancraft’s financing journey and pushes cumulative capital raised above the €50 million mark. Existing investors participated alongside the new lead investor, and the company expects the fresh capital to accelerate product innovation as well as geographic expansion across European markets.
